The Story of Steamboat Software and the Inspiration for HeyGroop

It started riding a chairlift on a cold, crisp day at Steamboat Ski Resort. How can you connect and bring a group of friends together? And do it in a way to create a safe space that is well organized. In the quiet and cold mountain air it became as clear as the winter sky.

The answer was organization of how people truly communicate. We all have different groups in our lives and those groups change over time. The group of parents for school events changes nearly every year. Any ski day may be with a different group of people. Why not have a group communication dedicated to just that day?
